Atlanta police officer involved in traffic accident
An officer transporting a suspect to the Fulton County Jail was involved in a traffic accident Thursday night, Atlanta police said.
The officer was traveling north on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard around 7 p.m. when a collision occurred with a Honda Civic traveling westbound on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, police said.
The officer, prisoner and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition, and none of the injuries appears to be life threatening, authorities said.
An investigation is under way.
