Atlanta police continue to investigate a triple shooting  in southwest Atlanta Monday that left one man dead and two injured.

Around 4 p.m Monday, police were dispatched to 2328 Campbellton Road, Apartment K5, in reference to a shooting, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.

Officers found one male shot multiple times who later died at Grady Memorial Hospital, Jones said. The victim's identity was not disclosed.

Two other, unidentified gunshot victims arrived at Grady shortly after the shooting in a blue Buick Century, police said.

The driver who dropped off the two men quickly left, but the car was spotted by an Atlanta officer at the hospital on an unrelated call. The officer pursued the Buick to the 600 block of Pulliam Street SW, where a single occupant fled on foot.

The two surviving victims were in stable condition Tuesday at Grady. One of them lives in the apartment where the shooting took place, according to police.

Witnesses told Channel 2 Action News that they heard screaming and saw a man who had been shot limping down the street.

"I heard at least about five or six shots," resident Anthony Dunbar told Channel 2.

Dunbar said before the shots, he heard two women screaming.

“The door was wide open, and I seen the guys running out the back door shooting. I seen all the blood and then, the guy run all the way up there and landed on the ground,” he said.
