Atlanta police arrested two people and confiscated thousands of dollars in alcohol Wednesday night during a raid on an alleged illegal liquor operation.

The vice unit was responding to community complaints about illegal liquor sales at a home in the 200 block of Napoleon Drive S.W., APD spokesman Carlos Campos said.

The house had a bar and lounge area and a place for sales, Campos said.

Carey Willingham, 75, and Larry Davis, 69, were taken into custody. They are charged with selling alcohol without a license and operating a business without a license, Campos said.

He said a tip leading to the bust came in to Atlanta Crime Stoppers before Christmas. Anyone with information on a crime should call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
