Atlanta will open an emergency warming center ahead of frigid weather, the city announced.

The Old Adamsville Recreation Center will open at 9 p.m. Thursday and will remain open until 10 a.m. Friday.

The warming center is located on 3404 Delmar Lane in northwest Atlanta.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the 40s this evening, according to Channel 2 Action News.
