Atlanta mayoral race: Norwood concedes as Reed wins recount

Kasim Reed won the Atlanta mayor's race by 714 votes, a recount of the Dec. 1 runoff results showed Wednesday. Election observers from Reed’s and Norwood’s camp were on hand to observe the unsealing of the ballots and watch the process on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at the Fulton County Election Preparation Center office at 1365 English St. in Atlanta.
