Cornelius Arnold was arrested Friday at a southeast Atlanta apartment in connection with two separate violent crimes allegedly committed over a couple weeks in September.

Acting on an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip, the Atlanta Police Department and FBI Violent Crimes Task Force went a Cleveland Avenue apartment shortly after 5 a.m. on March 9. Authorities knocked on the front door and entered to find Arnold asleep, police said.

Arnold, who was on APD's "most wanted" list, was reportedly taken into custody without incident. He is in the Fulton County Jail.

The 28-year-old is accused of an armed robbery in which the victim was allegedly forced to perform a sexual act on one of the co-perpetrators at gunpoint. In a different case, Arnold allegedly beat his girlfriend with a broom and choked her with a cord.

At this point, his charges are allegations by law enforcement.
