Atlanta launches NotifyATL

Atlanta has launched NotifyATL, a new mass notification system. NotifyATL is the city’s emergency alert notification program which helps keep residents and visitors in Atlanta safe and informed in the event of an emergency. The system enables the city to provide everyone with real time alerts on severe winter weather, potential safety hazards, road closures and community events.

“Launching this emergency alert system has been a priority for me because nothing is more important than keeping our city’s residents and visitors safe,” said Mayor Kasim Reed. “NotifyATL provides us with a powerful and effective new tool for communicating with tens of thousands of people directly and urgently. I urge all those who live, work and play in the city of Atlanta to sign up.”

Signing up for NotifyATL is free and easy to do, by using a computer, tablet or mobile device. Email and text messaging are notification options as well.
