Atlanta's gas prices continue to slowly spiral downward, dropping a nickel a gallon since last Monday.
The metro area's average price for a gallon of regular unleaded early Monday was $3.30, although some stations were selling gas for a dime or more cheaper per gallon, according to atlantagasprices.com, a website that monitors fuel prices.
The lowest reported prices were $3.13 and $3.14 at a couple of warehouse clubs in Morrow. Stations in Woodstock, Cartersville, Acworth, Buford and McDonough were selling regular unleaded for between $3.17 and $3.19.
The lowest price statewide was in Alma in south Georgia, where one station had dropped below the $3 mark to $2.98.
The national average price is $3.43, according to the website.
