Two Atlanta men, upset that a customer bought marijuana from someone else, were convicted of his murder Tuesday, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office said.

Santron Prickett, 25, and Jaquavious Reed, 19, were found guilty of murder, felony murder and weapons charges for the shooting death of Antwan Curry, 33. They were sentenced to life plus five years in prison, a spokeswoman for the district attorney said.

According to witnesses, Prickett and Reed shot Curry multiple times in the chest outside an Atlanta apartment complex in March 2010. Prickett shot himself in the hand during the exchange, leaving a trail of blood from the murder scene, the district attorney said. The suspect were eventually identified from photographic lineups.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
