Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer

The Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer kicked off Saturday with over 650 walkers and another 800 Sunday, October 3, 2010.

Members of the Peace, Love, Cure of Hall County crossed the finish line after the 10-mile walk this morning. The Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer kicks off Saturday with over 650 walkers and another 800 Sunday, October 3, 2010. The event raised $6.6 million in its first seven years and has awarded 107 grants to local breast cancer organizations

Malia Reed of Smyrna, casts a reflection while waiting for other walkers at the Georgia Aquarium sidewalk about 200 yards from the finish line. She said she walked Saturday's 20-mile walk as well. Participants walked 10 miles today which concluded with the closing ceremony at World of Coca-Cola at Pemberton Place.

The Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer kicks off Saturday with over 650 walkers and another 800 Sunday, October 3, 2010. The event raised $6.6 million in its first seven years and has awarded 107 grants to local breast cancer organizations in the area that provide diagnosis, education, support and research on behalf of thousands of Atlanta-area women affected by the disease.
