On Monday, Atlanta City Council President Ceasar Mitchell released the 2016 committee assignments for the upcoming legislative year. The city council has seven standing committees: Finance and Executive, Public Safety & Legal Administration, City Utilities, Committee on Council, Zoning, Transportation, and the Community Development and Human Resources Committee. All committees are comprised of members of the Atlanta City Council.

“I am pleased to appoint individuals who possess the skill sets that are aligned with the needs of each council committee,” Mitchell said. “My goal is to position talent on committees where they may best serve our city.”
