Jay Weissman loves his 1966 Shelby GT 350. He purchased this rare car about 18 years ago and put in the challenging work in order to get it to look this good.

“It was a nice driver car, a quality car,” said Weissman about the purchase. “I’ve been pecking away at it for all of those years...It’s a fun car to drive.”

Weissman also has the autograph of the car’s designer, the great racer and entrepreneur Carroll Shelby, on the glove box.

Cars like Weissman's will be the type of rare vintage automobiles to be on display at the 2018 Atlanta Concours d'Elegance. The show is Sept. 29-30 at Chateau Elan.

There are so many people in metro Atlanta who love their classic cars.

From Fayette to Forsyth counties, these beautiful machines can be seen cruising the back roads and highways of this state.

This video series has been created to showcase metro Atlanta's fantastic collector car scene, telling the stories of the people who put in the time, sweat and resources to keep the tires rolling and the engines humming.

If you have a car you would like showcased, email Todd C. Duncan at todd.duncan@ajc.com.
