Atlanta City Councilwoman Felicia A. Moore and the Georgia chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will turn Atlanta City Hall purple in recognition of Alzheimer's Awareness Month. Through December 1, purple beams will illuminate the historic circa Atlanta City Hall tower, 68 Mitchell Street, from sunset to sunrise. Moore, who lost her father to Alzheimer's disease, was instrumental in helping create Mattie's Call, a state-wide missing persons alert system for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, or disabled adults who wander from home or care facilities.
