Atlanta's City Council will hold a public hearing on the city's redistricting process at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue. For more detailed information, residents may contact the municipal clerk's office at (404) 330-6771 or municipalclerk@atlantaga.gov. American cities re-draw representative district boundary lines every decade, based on U.S. Census results, to preserve the right of one person/one vote. The Atlanta City Council is seeking to maintain a balance of populations by creating 12 Council districts with about 35,000 people each.
