The first “Tax Day Baby” to be born at Northside Hospital Tuesday will come into the world having already won something.

A $1,529 contribution will be go towards the lucky baby’s Path2College 529 Plan account. The tradition is an effort to “raise awareness about the importance of financial planning and saving for a college education,” according to a press release.

This is the eighth year Northside and Path2College have partnered to recognize the first baby born on a day he or she may one day come to dread.

Northside Hospital Women’s Center is located at 1000 Johnson Ferry Road.
