Assault reported in Cobb County

Cobb County police were on the scene of suspected aggravated assault Friday afternoon in Mableton.

The incident happened in the 300 block of Lane Drive, off Mableton Parkway, in south Cobb, police said. No one was in custody shortly before 4 p.m.

One person apparently was struck in the head, Officer Michael Bowman told the AJC.

No further details were available, police said.
