A fire damaged a three-story Atlanta apartment building Monday morning, and by the afternoon authorities had arrested the man they say started it.

The fire broke out at 11 a.m. at the Bent Creek Colony Apartments off Campbellton Road. No one was hurt, but two units sustained fire damage and six others sustained smoke and water damage.

Atlanta Fire Capt. Bill May said a suspect was in custody, charged with arson,  but could not immediately provide his name.

It took firefighters 20 to 25 minutes to put out the fire.
