Gwinnett County police have charged a 19-year-old with shooting a man, who drove himself to a friend's house despite having a  bullet in his head.

Xavier Lawrence Dozier-Joubert, also 19, called 911 from a house on Pirkle Road, reporting that he was shot when he opened his door at Oakbrook Pointe Apartments near Norcross early Thursday to a man who robbed him.

Later that day, Police arrested Paul Reshaud Tolbert and charged him with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

Dozier were able to give detectives enough information to find Tolbert. Tolbert also lived at the Oakbrook Pointe Apartments.

Tolbert was being held Friday in the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

Police said Dozier is expected to recover.
