A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a triple shooting last week near Lithonia that left one man dead and two other people injured.
Johnie Oliver was arrested Wednesday by the DeKalb County sheriff’s Fugitive Squad and charged with one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Cynthia Williams.
Raymonte Weems, 23, died following the June 27 shooting, which happened on Swift Creek Drive.
Following the shooting, Weems and a 27-year-old man were driven to the emergency room at DeKalb Medical Hillandale by a 21-year-old woman. All three had been shot, according to DeKalb police.
Weems was transferred to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
The wounded man and woman are expected to recover, police said. Their names have not been released.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
