A Hall  County man is in jail on charges he tried to lure a 10-year-old boy into his truck.

Dwayne Seibel, 51, is being held in the Hall County jail on charges of attempted kidnapping. On was arraigned Monday and ordered held without bond.

The boy was playing with several other children in an undeveloped lot at the Overlook subdivision off Hubert Stephens Road on Nov. 1 when a man in a pickup truck drove up, Hall County Sheriff’s Col. Jeff Strickland said.

The man tried to lure the boy into the truck, but the boy ran off. The man drove off after the boy fled, Strickland said.

On Saturday night, a resident called 911 to report a suspicious truck in the subdivision. The resident got the tag number, Strickland said. About an hour later, deputies located the truck and detained the driver, later identified as Seibel.

He was questioned and charged with the attempted abduction on Sunday, Strickland said.
