Atlanta police arrested a man late Saturday night in connection with the fatal shooting of a Morningside senior.
The unidentified victim, believed to be in his 60s, was found early Saturday afternoon in his home in the 1100 block of Wellbourne Drive, located near the Morningside Nature Preserve,
Hours later and less than a mile away, Andre Myrick, 36, was arrested and charged with his murder, Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said in a press release. He is being held at Fulton County Jail.
Police aren’t yet saying what led them to Myrick and offered few details about the shooting, which remains under investigation.
