Cobb County police are looking for two men who are accused of robbing a Hispanic bakery at knife- and gunpoint.
Two men entered Panaderia Salazar at 1368 Atlanta Road in Marietta around 8:50 p.m. Jan. 6.
One of the men brandished a knife and the other produced a handgun, according to an arrest warrant obtained for 34-year-old Alejandro Bernal, one of the suspects identified by police.
The pair took about $2,000 in cash from the register and another $400 from a man during the alleged robbery, according to police. An incident report obtained from Cobb police does not indicate if the man was a customer or an employee.
Cobb County Adult Detention Center records show that Bernal, who is charged with two counts of armed robbery, has not been booked into jail as of Jan. 15. The other suspect has not been identified.
Police describe him as having fair skin, between 20 and 25 years old, about 155 pounds and roughly 5’6’’ tall. He was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and brown Western-type boots at the time of the alleged robbery.
Anyone with information about the incident and the second man is asked to call Cobb County Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945.
