It's actually no coincidence Atlanta's best suburbs for millennials all begin with the letter "D," according to one website ranking.

Niche.com put Doraville, Dunwoody and Decatur as Nos. 1, 2 and 3 on its 2015 list of the best millennial suburbs in Atlanta. According to the site, all three are great for millennials because of their relatively high percentage of people 25-34 years old, their rates of reported crime, their easy commutes and their access to plentiful restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

The site, which produces national rankings on education and housing, analyzed 13 factors for its 2015 ranking, drawing primarily from the U.S. Census and other federal government data.

(Its ranking excluded suburbs with less than 1,000 people.)

Additional factors in Niche's ranking included the median rent, the percentage of "millennial newcomers" (residents 25-34 who moved to an area within the year), the percentage of residents with at least a bachelor's degree, and the percentage of resident diversity. Click here to see the complete methodology.

According to Niche's analysis, here are the 10 "best suburbs for millennials" in metro Atlanta:

1. Doraville

2. Dunwoody

3. Decatur

4. Duluth

5. Smyrna

6. Milton

7. Suwanee

8. Kennesaw

9. Norcross

10. Woodstock

DeKalb and Gwinnett counties tie for the most appearances on the top 25 list, with the counties both boasting four cities each on the list.
