Atlanta Public Schools will launch a Saturday school program in January for students needing help in Language Arts and math. The Saturday program comes in addition to other tutoring services the district launched this school year to assist students who may have been academically affected by cheating. The "Saturday Academy" is free, open to third through eighth graders, and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parents must register at their child’s school no later than Jan. 5. Lunch will be provided, as well as transportation for students who qualify.
