Jasmine Davis, a senior at Frederick Douglass High School, was named to Georgia Superintendent John Barge’s 2011-12 student advisory council. Davis is one of 50 Georgia students appointed to the council, which meets twice a year. The students will advise Barge and the Department of Education on how state policies are impacting the classroom. Information: www.doe.k12.ga.us
