Marietta’s Housing and Community Development Division is seeking eligible city homeowners to apply for its housing rehabilitation and repair assistance programs.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Minor Home Repair Grant Program provides a one-time grant award to correct code deficiencies or housing conditions that pose an imminent threat to the homeowner’s health and safety.
Examples include leaky roofs, defective plumbing, inadequate or unsafe heating systems or faulty electrical wiring.
The Minor Home Repair Loan Program provides a deferred loan payment up to $35,999 for hazardous conditions not covered by the grant.
Examples are grading and drainage systems, weather proofing or hazardous exterior problems.
The city’s grant and loan programs require documentation of income from all sources of all household members and verification of home ownership.
