Officers from Atlanta’s SWAT unit arrested a man on the city's south side Sunday afternoon after he barricaded himself in a house.

The man, Lloyd Anthony Thompson, 46, of Atlanta, barricaded himself in a house in the 1900 block of Browns Mill Road. He surrendered without incident after police obtained a warrant for his arrest, Sgt. Curtis Davenport told the AJC.

Thompson was charged with aggravated assault, battery and obstruction of an officer, authorities announced Monday.
