APD officer hurt in motorcycle wreck

An Atlanta police officer was injured Sunday morning when his motorcycle and a car collided in Midtown.

The officer was "alert, conscious and breathing" following the accident and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with minor shoulder injuries.

The accident occurred about 11 a.m. at 41 10th St. NE, police said.
