NXT Communications Corp. announced the opening of an antenna production facility that will bring 50 full-time jobs to a site near Cherokee County Regional Airport in Ball Ground.

The 10,000-square-foot facility “will produce next-generation, satellite broadband antennas for the satellite, aviation, trucking and other mobility and fixed wireless markets,” the company said. “The location will house executive management and administration, engineering, supply chain, quality, production, integration, assembly and test capabilities.”

NXTCOMM described its product as a cost-efficient, commercially viable, electronically steered antenna, initially targeting airline in-flight connectivity and such land mobile applications as rail and trucking fleets and first responders.

Half of the 50 jobs, to be added over the next 18 months, will be specialized engineering positions. Information: https://bit.ly/3imAHpi
