More than 3,000 people are expected to hit the pavement in support of the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association’s 19th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The 5K walk will be held at Atlantic Station on Saturday. Check-in and on-site registration begins at 7 a.m. Following the walk, there will be a Art in the Park event at Atlantic Station.

Money raised during the event will be used in the care and support of those suffering from Alzheimer’s and for research in finding a cure for the disease, which is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
