U.N. Ambassador Rice to deliver Spelman commencement

Susan E. Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, will deliver the keynote address at Spelman College's commencement ceremony, officials announced Friday.

Rice will receive an honorary degree during the May 16 ceremony at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Marian Wright Edelman, founder and president of the Children's Defense Fund, also will receive an honorary degree during the ceremony. Edelman graduated from Spelman.
