Retail giant Amazon and activewear brand Fabletics are set to open their first physical stores in Georgia at Dunwoody’s Perimeter Mall this year.

Amazon will open a brick-and-mortar location called "Amazon 4-star," which sells popular items that are rated four stars or higher on Amazon's website, mall spokeswoman Rachel Wille said.

The stores are marketed as an extension of Amazon.com, filled with product groupings like those seen online: A “Most-Wished-For” section, “If You Like, Then You’ll Love” pairings, and “Highly-Rated.”  Products sold in the stores will include consumer electronics, kitchen and home goods, books and games. Anyone can shop in the Amazon store, but those with Amazon Prime memberships will still receive a discount.

Both retailers plan to open in Perimeter Mall in late spring or early summer, Wille said.

“We’re excited to be bringing Amazon 4-star to the Atlanta area, and are currently hiring,” an Amazon spokeswoman said in a statement. “Stay tuned for additional details down the road.”

Two full-time leadership positions for the Perimeter Mall store are currently listed on Amazon's jobs site, but the company has not said how many total employees it plans to hire for the location.

Fabletics, co-founded by actress Kate Hudson, began as an online sportswear subscription service but opened its first physical store in 2015.

The Amazon 4-star store will be located on the second level of the mall next to Madewell. It is taking a portion of the space formerly used by Zara, which moved to a new spot in the mall in October. According to the company's website, Amazon has 4-star stores in New York, California, Washington state and Massachusetts.

Fabletics will also be on the upper level in the former Lucky Brand Jeans location. The brand currently has stores in more than 20 states, but none in Georgia, according to the Fabletics website.
