The Wacky World Playground in Alpharetta will be closed for about two weeks for routine maintenance, city officials announced.

Contractors and Recreation, Parks and Cultural Services staff will pressure wash and stain the equipment, as well as make minor repairs and perform general maintenance, at the playground, 11925 Wills Road, officials said.

Wacky World is described by a city website as "a mammoth structure of slides, monkey bars, bridges, towers and swings," with "sandboxes on the wings for little ones to play out of the way of the bigger kids." Information: https://bit.ly/33iWhTO

"Residents are encouraged to enjoy the playground at the Wills Park Recreation Center located on Wills Road or explore the offerings at our other parks while we freshen up Wacky World," officials said. For a listing of Alpharetta parks: https://bit.ly/2Nj8vWF
