Alpharetta city officials said the annual “Taste of Alpharetta” event will lead to a number of street closures and anticipated heavy traffic delays.

The city said that Milton Avenue from Main Street to Milton Center will be shut down 5 a.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, as will Old Roswell and Old Canton streets. Milton Avenue from Wills Road to Milton Center will be open only for residence and event parking.

In addition, Roswell Street from Old Milton Parkway to Milton Avenue will be shut down between 7:30 a.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday, as will Canton Street from School Drive to Milton Avenue. Canton Street from Mayfield Road to School Drive will be open only to event and residential parking.
