Alpharetta is looking for volunteers Saturday, March 2, to help remove an old farm structure and other debris near the entrance to Webb Bridge Park.

The effort, set for 9 a.m. to noon, is part of the 21st edition of the annual Great American Cleanup, a community improvement program sponsored in part by Keep America Beautiful, city officials said. For safety reasons, only adults and older teens can participate in the Alpharetta event; no young children can be on site.

Officials suggested that volunteers wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, closed-toe boots or shoes and work gloves. They should use the first parking lot to the right as they enter Webb Bridge Park (the lower soccer field lot) and sign in at the registration table at the head of the parking lot, near the park entrance.

The park is at 4780 Webb Bridge Road.

"This is a rain or shine event, and refreshments will be provided," according to a city announcement. Information: Environmental Services Manager Terry Porter, tporter@alpharetta.ga.us, or https://bit.ly/2TgsYiT
