Alpharetta is inviting residents, designers, developers and property owners to comment on proposed updates to the city’s stormwater ordinance.

The document regulates how rainwater must be managed by development sites and other properties. A summary of the suggested changes can be found in the document, "Advancing Smart Stormwater Design." To download it and to comment: http://bit.ly/29Q36Cz Comments are requested by Aug. 12.

Rather than using just detention basins or “dry ponds,” which “are unsightly and can be costly to maintain,” property owners should consider other management tools and practices that can be more attractive and cost less to maintain, city officials say.
