The Alpharetta City Council has approved spending $94,930 for an expanded survey of the Wills Park Equestrian Center.

Tetra Tech Inc., one of the city’s engineering consultants, earlier this year prepared a survey of the wooded portion of the Equestrian Center, south of the creek and east of the existing stables, staff said in a report to the council.

The expanded survey would cover the area west of the previously surveyed property to Wills Road, south of the creek centerline and north of the park property line, staff said.

It will be used by the Recreation, Parks and Cultural Services Department to develop construction plans for Equestrian Center concepts of the Wills Park Master Plan. The council accepted the conceptual plans last fall.

“The scope of work will include, but is not limited to, wetland delineation and mapping, topographic survey, tree survey, and underground utility location,” staff said. “The survey is anticipated to be completed within six weeks of a notice to proceed.”
