Congestion relief for Haynes Bridge and McGinnis Ferry roads and Windward and Old Milton parkways top a list approved Monday night by the Alpharetta City Council for transportation projects to be funded if voters approve a tax referendum in November.

The five-year, 0.75-cent Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax will be for unincorporated Fulton County and 13 Fulton cities other than Atlanta.

If voters approve, Alpharetta expects to receive about $62 million in TSPLOST revenues. Its 18-item projects list totals $72 million to account for additional projects to be funded if revenues exceed expectations.

Other projects include bicycle and pedestrian improvements, intersection work, advanced traffic signals, sidewalks, greenways, and street milling and resurfacing.

Alpharetta’s list now goes to Fulton Count to be combined with other project lists.
