Parents in Alpharetta found a cellphone in the mail addressed to their 14-year-old daughter and filed a police report.

The father, who isn’t named to protect his daughter’s identity, worries that a man between 40 and 50 years old tried to lure his daughter via the internet, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“Now he knows our full name and address,” the father told Channel 2.

The older man was allegedly talking to the girl in a sexual way and Alpharetta police spokesman Jason Muenzer said there was “explicit, sexual language as well as possible images on the phone.”

The teenager thought the man lived in Sweden, but the return address on the envelope belonged to an address off Windy Hill Road in Cobb County, police told Channel 2.

Now police are trying to connect the person behind the chats to the cellphone package.

“The phone was absolutely sent so that he could have communications with this 14-year-old without the parents knowing,” Muenzer said.
