The Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department and Alpharetta Youth Baseball Association have announced the completion of a 6,300-square-foot covered baseball pavilion at Wills Park.

The facility has eight batting cages, two pitching lanes, an open warm-up area and energy-efficient LED lighting. “This new baseball pavilion is a fantastic addition to Wills Park and will benefit ball players for many years to come,” said Scott Williamson, AYBA president.

The Alpharetta City Council last year awarded a $262,893 construction contract to Riley Contracting and authorized having Alpharetta Youth Baseball contribute $115,000 to the project. The pavilion is near Fields 1-4 at Wills Park, 1755 Old Milton Parkway.

AYBA manages baseball programs with Alpharetta Recreation and Parks for youth ages 4-19 during the spring, summer and fall seasons. Information: http://bit.ly/2ufptJb
