All metro Atlanta Pollo Tropical locations have closed, the restaurant’s parent company announced.

Fiesta Restaurant Group, which owns the Florida-based fast-casual chain, said Dec. 21 that it would close all nine locations in the Atlanta area. They closed the same day as the announcement, according to a press release.

The closures are part of a “strategic renewal plan,” the company said in the release.

Pollo Tropical had locations in Snellville, Lawrenceville, Buford, Tucker, Marietta, Vinings, Mableton and McDonough. The chain also closed five restaurants in Florida and Texas on Dec. 21.

Pollo Tropical previously closed one Marietta location in 2016 and locations in Cumming, Johns Creek and Alpharetta in 2017.

The company no longer has any restaurants in Georgia.
