Metro Atlanta interstate signs were displaying a missing child alert Friday for a south Georgia toddler who authorities said was kidnapped by his non-custodial mother.

According to the GBI alert, 8-month-old Mathew Johnson was abducted Thursday in Milan, a town on the Dodge/Telfair county line.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office has posted a lookout for the child's mother, 19-year-old Taylor Nicole Maskill.

The GBI said Maskill may be traveling in a silver 2002 Isuzu Rodeo with Texas license CY8B489 or CH5P601.

The mother and child were last seen in Lincoln, Ala., traveling west on I-20.

Maskill is white, 5 feet, 1 inches tall, and weighs 150 pounds. She has red hair and green eyes, and was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. Her son was last seen wearing a blue and white striped infant jumper.

Anyone with information on the missing child should call Dodge County investigators at 478-374-1691.
