ALDI, the grocery store chain, will host a hiring event for its Atlanta-area stores on Tuesday, May 15, for jobs starting at $12 and hour.

The event, at 1669 Scott Blvd. in Decatur, is to fill jobs at the Decatur location as well as locations in Buckhead and Norcross, the company said. The event will run from 7 a.m. to noon. The jobs available are store associates and shift managers.

Store associates get $12 per hour, the company said, and shift managers get $16.50 per hour. Both can expect increases after six months.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older to apply

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Drug screening and background check

• Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday – Sunday

• Retail experience preferred

• Ability to lift 45 pounds
