Alcohol is suspected to be involved in a two-vehicle wreck that left one person dead in Douglas County, the Georgia State Patrol said.

Troopers were called to the crash on I-20 at Midway Road around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

The initial investigation indicates that Kenyatta Marko Woulard, 31, of Austell, was driving a 2002 Lincoln Navigator eastbound on I-20 when his vehicle and an eastbound Ford Expedition hit each other, the Georgia State Patrol said. Both vehicles overturned.

The driver of the Expedition died; Woulard was treated at Douglas Wellstar Hospital and released, authorities said.

The name of the deceased driver has not been released, pending notification of the next of kin.

The investigation is continuing.
