An Alpharetta man whose business is supposed to help recovering drug addicts and alcoholics was released from jail Saturday after a DUI arrest.

Channel 2 Action News reports that Ron Verlander was driving on the wrong side of the road, could not maintain his lane and had an open container in his vehicle when he was arrested in Cherokee County June 24.

Channel 2 went to the address listed with Verlander's company name: NOAH, which stands for National Organization for Addiction Healing. It was a residence in Alpharetta.

When confronted about his arrest, Verlander told Channel 2 he had no comment.

The company's website is still up and running, and soliciting business from faith-based organizations.

According to the company's website, NOAH is an IRS recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

The mission statement suggests that the company raises funds for the purpose of helping men and women recover from alcohol and drug addiction.
