Persistence was key for an Albany housekeeper who won over $280,000 in the Nov. 10 Georgia Lottery Fantasy 5 drawing.

Belinda Gilliard, 43, matched all five numbers to win $280,127.

She purchased the ticket at June Bug’s Grocery on S. Madison St. in Albany.

“I had a Quik Pik and kept playing the same numbers over for awhile,” she said. “I went by the store to pick up a printout of the winning numbers and realized I won.”

She is undecided on how she will use her winnings.
