EDITOR’S NOTE:
In order to provide a robust event that will inform you on the issues at stake this election year, we have decided to postpone this event. However, we will be providing multiple ways to get you geared up for the Georgia primary. Be sure to follow the Cobb County News Now Facebook page and sign up for the Cobb newsletter for the latest on what’s at stake for Cobb County.
Georgia’s primary contests are about two weeks away. Voters in communities all over metro Atlanta are steadily casting ballots by mail and in person, despite the pandemic that has upended life as we know it.
To help make sense of the latest Cobb County political news and what's at stake on June 9, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is holding a virtual town hall on Thursday, June 4, featuring a pair of reporters who cover county government, politics and education.
County government reporter Meris Lutz and HyperLocal reporter Kristal Dixon will provide the lowdown on Cobb’s hottest primary races and the outlook for November.
Reporter Mark Niesse will answer questions about the voting process and election security.
The town hall, which begins at 5 p.m., will be streamed live through Facebook and YouTube.
