The Roswell Library is set to close in August for a complete renovation.

Staff will have to pack some things up before the construction begins, and less books means less packing.

So, from May 31 to June 3, the library is hosting a big “Stock up for the Summer” book sale.

The sale is put on by Friends of the Roswell Library, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the library and providing financial assistance to it.

Hours vary during the days of the sale. From May 31 to June 2, it will run from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On June 3, it will run from 2 to 5:30 p.m.

Aside from gently-used books, also for sale will be videos, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks at bargain prices.

The Roswell Library began in 1946 and moved into its current location in 1989. After renovations begin in August, the library hopes to reopen by February 2019.

Fulton County is spending more than $12 million to update several libraries this year.
