Advance voting for the Republican primary runoff in Forsyth County Commission District 5 will begin Tuesday and go through July 22 at the County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.

Voting hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Early voting also will take place on one Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 16.

The runoff is necessary because no candidate in the May 24 Republican primary received more than 50 percent of the vote. Justin T. Hawkins faces Laura Semanson. (Chandon Adams and was eliminated.)

District 5 registered voters who cast a Democratic ballot on May 24 are not eligible to vote in the runoff.
