The Roswell Adult Aquatics Center, also known as RAAC, is closed Wednesday and Thursday due to what the city is calling a mechanical failure.

Because the facility will be closed, all classes, lessons, therapy contracts and open swim sessions are canceled for those two days.

A city spokesperson said repairs are expected to be completed Thursday.

RAAC opened in the spring of 2016 as an enhancement to the city's adult recreation center, which originally opened in 2000. The aquatics center was at first only open to people 50 and older, but the city changed the age limit last year, dropping it to 25.

The facility covers 12,000 square feet and features a five-lane warm water therapeutic swimming pool, a zero-depth entry, a therapeutic whirlpool and shower facilities.
